WELCOMING A NEW PARTNER TO BIOMEM
We are excited to share a milestone for the BIOMEM project.
Following a successful mid-term EU review in June, we gathered for a productive progress meeting at the European Institute of Membranes of Montpellier/France in Montpellier (France), where we officially welcomed a new partner to our consortium: Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal).
Represented by Dr. Tânia Melo, University of Aveiro will strengthen our collaborative efforts as we work together to revolutionize bioprocessing with biomimetic membranes.
What is BIOMEM?
BIOMEM is pioneering the use of biomimetic membranes for ultra-selective molecule recovery. This breakthrough technology has the potential to cut energy consumption by 80%, reduce waste, and enable more sustainable bio-based production — contributing directly to circular economy practices.
